On this programme, you will learn to read, write and speak modern standard Chinese. You will also learn about Chinese history, literature, culture, politics and international relations. We are the only university in the UK to offer three different language entry levels to our Chinese degree programmes: ab initio - for students with no prior knowledge of the Chinese languageupper beginnerintermediate (Updated 17 December 2024 to provide more detailed information on Year 1 Chinese language courses) You will specialise in international business in Year 2 and you will have a compulsory study year abroad in Year 3 at one of our international partner institutions in a Chinese-speaking country. This programme is particularly suitable if you are looking for a breadth of international business understanding. The programme is also appropriate for those aspiring to undertake a career in international management, and those seeking further educational opportunities.
