Overview
Our Adult Nursing degree is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills to pursue a rewarding profession in the healthcare field as a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registered adult nurse.
Satisfactory completion of the following:
You need to achieve a minimum of 2300 hours theoretical and 2300 clinical practice to become a registered nurse with the NMC.
A portfolio of proficiency outcomes.
A range of theoretical assessments are used in each year of the programme. These include: essays, presentations, case studies, drug calculation and anatomy and physiology exam.
Academic tutorial support including disability support are available with every module.

Career prospects are excellent with the current shortage of nurses in the UK. Students have had a range of employment opportunities working as a staff nurse in NHS and the Private sector in both the acute and community settings.
On successful completion of the course students are registered with the NMC as registered adult nurse.
Wrexham University offer options for further study in relations to professions such as health visiting, school nursing, community nursing, advanced nursing practice, nurse prescribing courses, MSc, and PhD studies.
