Civil engineers design, build and operate the physical infrastructure that we often take for granted; from bridges and buildings to water treatment and waste management systems. Civil engineering involves: creatively applying your physics and mathematics knowledge to deliver unique solutions to complex problemsselecting and using the appropriate engineering and computational tools to ensure safe and sustainable solutionsusing your advanced knowledge of Civil Engineering materials to select the correct solution for the required application This programme will train you to be a civil engineer for the future, giving you the knowledge and skills you need to shape and sustain our ever-changing world. You will have the opportunity to specialise in many technical streams including: structural engineeringenvironmental engineeringconstruction managementgeotechnical engineeringfire safety engineering We put a strong emphasis on engineering design, both individually and in groups, throughout this degree programme. You will be taught by leaders in their Engineering fields whose knowledge is actively sought out by industry and government internationally. You will also have opportunities to interact with recent graduates who are now working in industry. This programme meets the academic requirement for registration as an Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer.
